Synesthesia is not only consistent across time but also concretely measurable in the brain-
Studies have indicated that there is a strong correlation between intrinsic network connectivity and the consistency of synesthetic experience: in synethetes’ brains, the regions in charge of particular sensations are more connected than normal, and the data also suggested that the stronger the connectivity is, the more consistent synesthetic experience would be.

Regardless of being a synethete or not, every individual’s brain is a wiring diagram, a map of neural connections, an embedded system of structures silently shaping every single detail of us.
