"I saw all my colours in spirit, before my eyes. Wild, almost crazy lines were sketched in front of me."
—Wassily Kandinsky

Self + Synesthesia
The beginning: synesthesia —
My brain automatically associates things varying from objects, spaces, people, and places to emotions with the sensory perception of colors. The phenomenon is involuntary, consistent, and omnipresent in my daily life.
Mental states + color —
A thorough screening of the physical and psychological properties of colors in my brain was conducted: how do I perceive and define these colors, in what way do I see them as determinants of human behavior, and to what things are they associated with? The result: colors carry distinct mental and emotional weights — they are not decorative but structural to inner experience.
